BIOGRAPHY
Charlie Nave is admitted to the Bars of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts of Virginia and the District of Columbia, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and for the District of Columbia, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He has been assisting charities and fundraisers with the regulatory aspects of charitable solicitations since 1997. He has served as regulatory counsel to the Direct Marketing Association – Nonprofit Federation and currently serves as litigation counsel to American Charities for Reasonable Fundraising Regulation. He regularly speaks at conferences on topics of interest to nonprofits and fundraisers. Over the years, he has been integrally involved in numerous cases of particular interest to the nonprofit community, including: American Charities v. Pinellas County (a/k/a “Pinellas I”); Aid Association for Lutherans v. United States Postal Service; and Madigan v. Telemarketing Associates.

BIOGRAPHY
Chris Griffith is a Compliance Specialist at Charles H. Nave, P.C. He orchestrates state registration services on behalf of nonprofits and professional fundraisers of all types, sizes, and locations throughout the United States. He loves to transform client’s visions of regulatory compliance into confident realities, guiding them throughout the full life-cycle of nonprofit and fundraiser requirements; from formation of 501(c)(3) organizations to nationwide management of state charitable and corporate compliance. Chris brings over 25 years administrative experience. Before joining Charles H. Nave, P.C., he worked for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, and Scripture Truth Book Co.
When not spending time with family, Chris, a lifetime Virginian, can usually be found with brush in hand before a canvas and easel, immersed in a good book, or serving at his local church.
